A Glasgow Wedding, Janet at West

13/09/2014

Back in August, we had the pleasure of providing the flowers for a lovely wedding celebration at West Brewery in Glasgow.

Janet’s brief to us was to fill her wedding day with bright seasonal blooms and her bouquet was a rustic explosion of oranges and blues.

Our Glasgow Wedding Collective friend Lisa Devine was on hand on the day and provided us with these lovely images.  Thank you Lisa!

Lipstick to match her bouquet…

17/08/2014

Remember the Bride who wore lipstick to match her bouquet?

Here is Kirsten, totally ROCKING the look on her wedding day last month with the darkest of Peonies and plum lipstick.  And the happiest of smiles.

Thanks to Zoe Campbell for these lovely, happy images.

Irina at Blairquhan Castle

12/08/2014

Back in June, we had our first wedding at Blairquhan Castle.

The Bride, the adorable Irina, asked us to fill her wedding day with vibrant summer blooms and we are so happy to have been asked to part of this gorgeous wedding celebration.

Our Glasgow Wedding Collective friend Lisa Devine was on hand to capture the day and thank you so much Lisa for these images.

Much colourful love x

Woodland whites for a Brig O Doon wedding…

30/06/2014

Last week, we had the loveliest local wedding, down the road at Brig O Doon.  The rain stayed away and our beautiful client Carly got married outside on the banks of the river after walking down an aisle made of David Austin Patience rose petals.

Inside Brig O Doon, we decorated the guest tables with glass cloches surrounded by succulents, seasonal white blooms and local ferns to create a fresh, mossy woodland feel.

It was a real Glasgow Wedding Collective affair with Alexis Miller on make up and Pin Up Wedding Hair on hair.

Top team.

Here is our little round up of phone images from the day.

Happy Monday x

A Late Spring Wedding…

04/06/2014

In April, we travelled East to the beautiful Harburn House for the wedding of Aislinn & Gregor.  We had so much fun working on this wedding as Aislinn has a shared love of twigs and moss and I will miss her mossy pins on Pinterest!

These beautiful images are by those talented ladies at Mirrorbox who were hot on our heels on the day capturing this extremely pretty wedding.  Just lovely.

Congratulations Aislinn & Gregor x

The month of May…

01/06/2014

May has been a funny old month for us, whilst everyone has been tweeting / instagramming / facebooking at how busy they are with weddings, we have been relatively quiet.  Due to our wee venture starting up in December, most clients had already booked their key suppliers for May weddings and we missed the boat.

But this downtime in wedding work has been really good for us, it has allowed us the time to settle into our new surroundings and find our feet.  Our growing project is well and truly under way and our days are spent working outside tackling a never ending list to do.

The weddings we did have were bursting with sesonal blooms, it would be rude to get married in May and NOT have Peonies.

Here’s to June.

A few hidden gems…

13/05/2014

So we have moved.

Home and studio.

We found a few hidden gems in the terrifyingly overgrown gardens and are so exited about the potential here.

We also got two kittens, you can see them over here.

Following our hearts…

16/04/2014 | 1 Comment

Reasons to move to the country:

1: Peace and quiet to create

2: Land to grow stuff

3: Wood burning stoves

4: No neighbours

5. A workshop at home

6: Dark starry skies

7: We want a kitten

8: Two greenhouses

9: Closer to family

10: Rolling countryside as daily inspiration

11: Epic foraging adventures

12: Because we want to and we can

Reasons to stay in Glasgow;

Nil

Since getting married, we suddenly realised that we could do anything we wanted so we now have an epic move on our hands!  We also realised that clients have been booking us for what we do, not where we are as most of our weddings this year are all over the country.  Our studio in The Hidden Lane has been great, but a little small for the scale of weddings we have coming up.  So the opprtunity to create a purpose built studio at home is too good to miss!

We won’t be too far away, only half an hour out of Glasgow, so will still be popping in and out of city life and for client meetings.

The Good Life.  We are coming to get you.

Harburn House…

14/04/2014 | Leave a Comment

We ventured East at the weekend for the loveliest couple who celebrated their wedding at Harburn House.

All sorts of pretty late Spring and early Summer blooms were on their best behaviour for this Spring woodland wedding, here is a little round up of phone snaps taken just as we were finishing up.

A few days away…

19/03/2014

The roadtrip
The bouquet
The Husband aka The Fiddler

The Steinway
The Husband
The stone

The tune

We went away for a few days and we got hitched.

I wore Harris Tweed and flowers on my head – OBVIOUSLY.

The days were filled with sunshine, music, flowers and lovely people.

Being married is ace.

Thank you all for all your kind wishes and love, we are so very happy x
